The Hunting Country is an equestrian community encompassing approximately 4,600 acres in Polk County, NC.

The Hunting Country! Association was established in 1984. It is a result of the vigilance and cooperation of concerned residents who wanted to preserve the unique character and natural resources of the Hunting Country.

Today, our focus is to ensure that progress and development is in keeping with established zoning laws and our common goals and shared vision for the future. As a result, a major purpose of HC! is to maintain a legal defense fund to protect the Hunting Country.

We also like to have a little fun and provide for our members an annual fall picnic at FENCE, bringing everyone together for fun, food and music.
