The Gathering at FENCE this year was October 4th.  Wonderful turnout of over 100 residents.  Great conversations and delicious food!  It was so good to see everyone and enjoy the evening.  If you didn't make it, plan on being there next year!

To clarify from 2 Planning Boards and 2 Commissioner meetings, the Town of Tryon per Tim Daniels, has grandfartherd 101 Throughbred Lane in to allow B&B's.

The Association investigated 4 1/2 years ago and after 8 weeks, Mr. Daniels ruled that this property was grandfathered to allow B&B's.  The Town of Tryon also considers Short Term Vacation Rentals to be in the same category as B&B Breakfast Inns, which are also not allowed in R-1.

HC is made up of two primary districts: RE-5 and R-1, along with Mockingbird Hill.  HC is made up of three counties, Spartanburg, Greenville (2 acres) and Polk.

8/17  Thanks to all our residents who support and attend meetings for the HCA. The Association exists for you.  Thanks to Myron Yoder, David Moore and Paul Beiler for listening and allowing us to maintain our zoning.

7/1 Update from the Polk Planning Office: The Text Amendment fee will be $500.00 effective July 1, 2026.  The old fee was $100.00.

The HCA had requested one thousand dollars but we are pleased with the increase.  It hopefully will cover all expenses so that Polk taxpayers do not have to pay the difference.
