NEXT COMMISSIONER MEETING - June 16, 5:00 pm at the Womack Building for Public Hearing on RE-5 Zoning
Shawn Keller has asked for a public hearing on RE-5 Zoning. Even though, after a two plus hour hearing with the Polk Planning Board which voted 5-0 against his request to change the RE-5 Zoning, he has requested a public hearing June 16th.
The Hunting Country Association is against any change to the RE-5 Zoning that would allow B&B, Air B&B, or Residential Vacation Rentals. Numerous other zones have the same zoning as well.
The Keller Application is scheduled for June 16tth at 5:00. Please plan to attend and speak letting the Commissioners know we are not in favor of B&B's, Air B&B's or Vacation Rentals.
While this is Deja vu' for all of us, We love the HC and its worth the effort to keep it as is.
Thank you for supporting the HCA!

A Resident who moved to HC 2 years ago wants to change the RE-5 Zoning and allow Air B&B, B&B's. Our current zoning does not allow them.
He also wants to change our short term rental zoning from 90 days to no requirement of time.
The HCA Board has met and we are unanimous against these proposals. The Polk Planning Board will meet April 10th at 5:30 at the Womack Building to review. Our Board will be there and we ask all residents to come and speak.
If you can't come, we will compile emails and present them to the Planning Board. Just email your thoughts to huntingcountrya@aol.com.
People who rent B&B's, Air B&B's for the weekends are usually on vacation and want to party, drink and make a lot of noise. We do not want this in Hunting Country.
It is sad when someone moves here and wants to change the zoning we have worked so hard to achieve.
